I wonder if changing the nginx files from within entrypoint.sh is necessary.
How does that make it easier for the user to supply their own configs?

Check out 0.52_fix-265 branch as a suggested simplification. It is not much different to what is currently in place. The benefits are...

  • makes things a bit easier to understand, and
  • resolves the error in the description.

This does not, however, enable a general way for users to supply their own nginx configs when deploying this base image to App Service for Containers (e.g., #264).

hi, JCFerrerG...

I just published appsvcorg/drupal-nginx-fpm:0.6, please have a try.

With this version, you can modify files under /home/etc/nginx and /home/etc/varnish, these files will be persisted after restart. we don't need to cover whole folder, you can modify 1 or 2 case just as your wish.

Just in case if you like to restore to default configuration, please check /etc/nginx-bak and /etc/varnish-bak.

Please let me know is it fit your request? I guess you have already known how to use FTP to manage files in app service? So it should be easy.

thanks,
-Leon
