Hello! Thanks for the report. I've tested in 3.3.3, 3.4.1, and trunk and I am unable to duplicate this.

Is it possible that there could be a collision with a plugin or custom code that somehow loads _s_scripts() during admin_enqueue_scripts? _s currently hooks this function during the `wp_enqueue_script`` action which should not fire in the admin. Please see discussion here: http://make.wordpress.org/core/?s=wp_enqueue_scripts

_s_scripts() will also unconditionally enqueue _s/js/small-menu.js is this script loading in the admin as well?

Have you tested on a clean WordPress installation with all plugins disabled?

Hi Micheal,

yes I tested it on clean vanilla install of 3.4.1. Fun as things are, it didn't appear always. I needed several reloads to reproduce it.

I can't seem to reproduce this. wp_enqueue_scripts does not run inside the admin panel, and as @mfields mentioned admin_enqueue_scripts is the one that does. If you're able to reproduce this with 3.4.1 and/or latest trunk, you should probably also report it to core.trac.wordrpress.org Can you try again with the latest (master)? Thanks!

I just tried loading wp-admin/edit.php 30 times each in both 3.4.1 and trunk and was not able to reproduce. @franz-josef-kaiser can you verify if _s/js/small-menu.js is included when this happens? It could help us in debugging this issue.

I'm going to close this for now because neither @kovshenin or I have been able to reproduce. Feel free to open again in the future if the cause can be isolated.

@mfields @kovshenin I just came back from vacation two days ago and gave it a short test right now - no chance to reproduce.

One thing, that could be the reason is Chrome itself. Sometimes it remembers stylesheets by accident - but as I got autoupdate on Chrome, I can't confirm, that it's a browser bug, as I simply don't know the version number, when I found that.
