Yes I agree it could use some more work but as I'm not being paid to work on it anymore, I have much less time to devote to it unfortunately. I will push a new version to npm later today, sorry about that.

As for the build system, I needed something that work for both node and the browser, and I'm not too big of a fan of some of the boilerplate heavy module systems out there, or the node system for various reasons. This has worked fine so far and generates source maps which is nice for debugging.

If you have specific suggestions feel free to post them.

Hi!

I needed a JavaScript sound file decoder for node-web-audio-api, and after a couple of hours trying to figure out how aurora works, I have to say it works great.

I have seen the last npm release is quite old, and as I would prefer to add it as a dependency rather than bundling it, I was wondering if you could publish?

Though the lib works great, I think it deserves some love (no offense), for example the build system seems bit odd to me, and also it seems to be a full framework to build a player ... what about splitting in smaller better documented components?
Right now I don't feel so comfortable adding it as a dependency to node-web-audio-api, with all those functionalities I don't really need.

OK, 0.2 released on npm. Kind of an arbitrary version number but it works.

Haha .... Cool! Thanks!

That's a pity. It's a great library.

I was kind of giving a specific suggestion there! I think the library is cool, but with a lack of docs, unusual packaging system, and too many functionalities, it makes it harder to contribute. Anybody that's interested in using it has to dive in the code (first learn coffee script, then dive in the code).

To test how to use it, I wrote a snippet extracted from the tests "how to read and decode a sound file in node.js". I could clean it, send it to you, and you could put this somewhere as a recipe. This could help other people getting started.
