To calculate the profit Gekko uses a simulation so that even though you have not enabled real trading Gekko can still report the profit you would have had when you listened to the advice.

In this simulation Gekko uses a start balance (1 BTC and 100 USD for example) so that every time a new advice comes in, this balance gets updated like so:

If the advice is BUY: switch all the currency (100USD in te beginning) to BTC at the current price.
If the advice is SELL: switch all the assets (1BTC in te beginning) to USD at the current price.

It starts with this balance which has both USD and BTC so that no matter what the first advice will be, the action will be taken into account (if it starts with only BTC and the first advice is buy this advice cannot be followed).

On profit report Gekko simply converts all simulation BTC and USD to either all BTC or all USD (depending on your reportInCurrency setting) and compare this with the starting balance.

I made these numbers configurable so that you can fill in the amount of BTC you own and Gekko will spit out how much BTC all advice would have made you (minus the fee per trade).

*Note, replace BTC with the asset configured in the watcher and USD with the currency set in watcher.

I just thought of an easy way to calculate profit myself, this is just a small script that will make it easier to work with the bot.
