asciidoctor-pdf-1.5.0.alpha.1 - Invalid multibyte char (US-ASCII) error when called via asciidoctorj about asciidoctor-pdf HOT 4 CLOSED

This is a Ruby 1.9 issue that was also reported in #33. I've since made the fix in master and it will be included in the alpha2 release.

Long story short, Ruby 1.9 chokes if there are characters in a source file outside the BMP unless the file starts with the magic encoding header. I've added that header, but in general I strongly recommend users to switch to Ruby 2.0. In JRuby, there is a flag that you can use to switch to 2.0...and we should enable that in AsciidoctorJ. JRuby 9000k will default to Ruby 2.x compliance to my knowledge...which makes total sense since Java has had proper unicode support since day 1.
