i just wanted to find a real study to reference instead of a random internet-user-drawn-picture.
we could get the mercury data from this or a similar study.

do either databased let you filter based on larger categories? like turn off nuts, dairy, beef, fruit, etc? instead of having to manually keep removing the nut recommendations until the user gets one they want. We should implement a food-category filter if the db allows it.

users should be able to share their meals so they can easily pick a good meal by eating what their healthy friend or nutrition-celeb eats.

Also maybe on top of the previous suggestion or as an alternative there could be a priority structure where foods that people like are prefered, so you initially see reasonable foods when you do an initial search unless you disable this sorting option.
