Seattle Black Owned Map Proxy - SobHub API

• The Seattle-Black-Community-Hub-proxy-server is a Python-based web application built using the Flask framework.
• It provides a RESTful API that allows users to perform CRUD (create, read, update, delete) operations on resources related to black-owned businesses and historical sites in the Seattle area.

• Tech: Flask, PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, React and Leaflet, Python, Javascript, HTML/CSS, deployed on Heroku
• Developed a web application that serves as a community hub to help promote Black-owned businesses, services, and historical sites in Seattle, Washington.
• Users can view a map of Seattle with markers for all the businesses and sites on the map.
• They can click on each marker to see more information about each location and its contact details.
• It fetches data from four endpoints using axios, a Promise-based HTTP client, and stores the data in state variables using React hooks.

• Collaborated in a 4-person team to design and create an interactive web application that enabled users to post inspirational messages to a board owned by multiple individuals.
• Led the front-end design and development of a React-based web application, utilizing Props and Hooks to implement user interface
• Used React JS library to initialize and manipulate state within a component, propagate data to nested components
• Implemented test-driven development using Pytest and fixtures to validate board and card creation and retrieval routes, ensuring code reliability.
