Deadlock: point in a process where mutually exclusive threads wait on each 
other and, as a result, the process never completes its intended flow. Usually, 
a design issue, so simulations are not the best/most effective way to detect 
them.

Bottleneck: a situation in which a process is slowed down by one or few 
activities on which the rest of the process depends. Could be a design or 
performance issue. Often, simulations are a practical/effective way to detect 
bottlenecks.

Deadlocks: Is inside the scope providing info for an error in the process?
Bottlenecks: That's what users expect from simulation is identifying these kind 
of things. 

Agreed - Simulators can included internal tests for forms of 
deadlock...ie.spotting a process which isnt going to complete.
