Black screen when no location about avare HOT 3 CLOSED

I have a solution.
Auto download sectional on first install for the area the GPS dictates
a. If no GPS, then download from last known location
b. If no last location, then throw a dialog, asking the user where she is (address), resolve with geocode (internet will be available since just installed)

Then set destination to that area.

This makes sure that the app is ready to go from start except if the user specified the wrong location.

Yes, that is a good idea, the only issue is that initially there will  be No GPS, and the size of the chart may be too large. That said if you are OK with the download size you can default to a specific coordinate, I think 34 / 94 or whatever the center may be, and download the chart for that area. An interactive low storage size chart may be best, but it's no easy to implement? Let's just keep thinking, and let me know if I can help?

There is no easy solution but I think that it would help if we give them something they recognize as valid, regardless of the GPS status? TV
