Hi,
In the origins, BootMetro was inspired by the work of Metro-UI-CSS, and some traces can be found in the css; but as of now, bootmetro is indipendent, and will continue to do so. The goal is to have the same visual appealing of the original Windows 8 App Store style (ex "Metro style).
You can find a roadmap in the wiki: (https://github.com/aozora/bootmetro/wiki/Roadmap)
it is not yet final, this roadmap will be public when the 1.0 release will be ready.
Why I used Bootstrap as a base? Because is an awesome base, with a very good grid system, good support, has lots of goodies, extremely flexible and very easy to extend.
About jQueryUI, is possible to integrate it with bootstrap/bootmetro, but is recommended that you use this particular theme: http://addyosmani.github.com/jquery-ui-bootstrap/

Thank you for your concern.
Did you mean that bootmetro use the core of bootstrap only, but not using the top of bootstrap such as components, form controls, etc?
I think jquery-ui-bootstrap is a jQuery UI theme that act as twitter's UI, so if I want to build a site extractly observe microsoft's standard (e.g: following "UX guidelines for Metro style apps"), I shouldn't use jquery-ui-bootstrap, or even not to use jQuery UI, is it right?
Thanks!

not exactly, BootMetro use ALL of Bootstrap, in fact from the hub.html demo page you can access the base-css, components, scaffolding and javascript pages from bootstrap, but all appears with the look&feel of "metro style".
About jquery-ui-bootstrap, yes, you are correct, it is recommended only if you cannot avoid to use jqUI ;)
you are welcome!

Ok, as far as I know, I think bootmetro is the best choice now.
I wish it stay the strongest for ever ;-)

:D thank you very much, I really appreciate!
But Metro-UI-CSS is a tough competitor, it is a "hard fight"! :D
(I'm joking, there's no fight, we are only trying to shape a better world!)

Execuse me for the last thing:
After a blind-comparation of Metro-UI-CSS & bootmetro, I'm so tired..
Will you please simply figure out what's the primary advantages of bootmetro than Metro-UI-CSS?
And If I choose bootmetro as mainly framework, and use Metro-UI-CSS as addition (e.g. if I need Carousel http://metroui.org.ua/carousel.php), do the 2 frameworks conflict in the same page?

I leave the answer to you: I can not tell you that BootMetro is better than MetroUI-CSS or viceversa: each as better things than the other, just try to use one first, than the other, experiments, and do your choice. It's up to you!

I have seen Metro-UI-CSS looks better, its lighter too (requires several times less javascript than bootmetro), and has an already integration with datatables which is an strength, and it feels smoother, but bootmetro is based in boostrap which is the most used css framework since the past 3 years, so it offers lots of addons and mods that allows you to code faster. Its not an easy choice.

I have been using both Metro-UI-CSS & bootmetro; i definetly prefer Metro-UI-CSS because of weight , stability and support. It's beautiful too

Making maths i thing you should use bootmetro if you are a programmer which will design your app and you are not very good in CSS. Metro UI CSS offers more friendly User eXperience, but you have to be open to make your own changes in the future.

Metro UI CSS is better because of datatables. But beyond 10,000 records to display, you will have a problem. I have done it, but most paginator will have a hard time displaying 10,000 records.
