cd antergos-iso
git checkout testing
  1. Go into docker folder:
cd docker
  1. Create antergos-base and antergos-iso docker images:
sudo ./build-docker-images
  1. Run a container based on the antergos-iso image:
docker run -it --mount source=outvol,target=/out --mount source=workvol,target=/work --name antergos-iso-build antergos-iso

Once inside the container, create the iso image

  1. Go to /antergos-iso folder :
cd /antergos-iso
  1. Go to the config directory you wish to build from.
  • The "official" iso is in the antergos folder.
cd /home/user/antergos-iso/configs/antergos
  1. Check text configuration file config with your favourite text editor
  2. Build the iso:
sudo ./build.sh build

If you want to try to build the iso again, please remember to clean all generated files first:

antergos-iso's Issues

Touchpad select/activate does not work in live

The touch select/activate on the the touchpad also doesn't work, have to press the touchpad left button just like a separate mouse to accomplish this. After the install, touch all does work properly though!

ntpd service is not enabled

ntpd service is not enabled, time is wrong and then pacman fails in some circumstances.

sudo systemctl enable ntpd fixes it.

Failed to open file EFI\archiso\intel_ucode.img

When booting a live USB using any of the testing ISOs and select Antergos x86_64 UEFI USB, I get.
"Failed to open file EFI\archiso\intel_ucode.img
Trying to load files to higher address
Failed to open file EFI\archiso\intel_ucode.img"

Copying intel_ucode.img from \arch\boot\ inside the USB to EFI\archiso\ lets the USB boot normally.

UEFI Boot is broken

UEFI boot is broken. I only tested on virtualbox, but based on the feedback we have been getting from users, its safe to say this is not a VM-only issue. I found this bug report upstream that claims it's fixed: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/31894 I am downloading the latest arch iso to test now. Will update...

Update: Latest Arch image boots successfully in VM. Will look into this further as soon as I can.

antergos-2015.04.12-x86_64.iso : Vboxclient notification and 'Oh no' Gnome fullscreen

2015-04-13-104406

Because I was unfortunate with the minimal-install ISO ( ref : Antergos/Cnchi#283 ) I decided to test the full-ISO ; this one does boot in a broken Gnome with the 'Oh no' message fullscreen and maximised.

Only notification appearing "VboxClient: the VirtualBox Kernel...." ( the Gnome notification speech bubble size trim the text; and even mouse-hover this item refuse to show the full content of the error message.

( note : I don't run this in VirtualBox ; this is a ISO image written on a USBdrive , and booted on a PC I have since 4 years, who already installed dozens of distros ... A Dell vostro 'Linux ready' machine ; with only bad hardware is the Broadcom based eth0 wired connection ... A pain for plain Arch, but usually fine with Antegos or Manjaro )

Clicking in the only button 'Log Out' just restart Gnome with the same issue, it's an infinite loop.

Language selection

I have selected slovak language at boot, but Cnchi is always in english, notifications with cnchi updating too.
Default keyboard in Cnchi is english and they should be slovak too.

3/20 Won't boot on skylake

Not sure if right repo but I can't get 3/20 release to boot on skylake. It dies everytime on setting clocksource. Was able to get the most recent arch with 4.4.5 to boot no problems.

Let me know if you need more information

Minimal iso monospace font

I have been using the minimal iso recently in virtualbox. The font in the lxternimal looks horrid and is particularly hard to read.

Running fc-match monospace matches to a regular font, hence the bad rendering.

Any chance of adding a monospace true type font for the terminal.

Add support for Libreboot

As of now, Libreboot (and maybe Coreboot as well) cannot boot the Antergos Live ISO automatically, possibly requiring a manual boot, although I haven't yet been successful doing it manually.

It would be great to have Antergos booting from Libreboot automatically :)

If even a manual workaround is found, that would already be fantastic!

Reduce iso size (minimal branch)

Minimal iso is right now 556MB aprox. This should be less. But how?

My pkg cache (Gnome and Openbox) is 1.3GB, this means user will have to download more or less a 2GB iso, which is too much.

Typo in syslinux menu

I just downloaded the Minimal ISO 64bit (antergos-minimal-2015.03.07-x86_64.iso) and booted up, and encountered a typo:

img_20150320_122412

As you can see, it sais

To start the system enter 'start and press

it should say

To start the system enter 'start' and press

It's missing an '. If we're gonna be picky, the grammar is incorrect aswell. It should say

To start the system, enter 'start' and press

Add Orca shortcut key

Currrently when antergos is first started alt-f2 has to be pressed then the user has to type Orca when normally super-alt-s can be pressed to turn on the screen reader.

Default GTK Theme bad working on minimal-iso

If use default GTK theme bad working and some options not visible on Cnchi.

This solved if delete GTK config and use Adwaita GTK Theme, and run Installer again:

rm -rf ~/.gtk*
rm -rf ~/.config/gtk*

Antergos as a VMware guest

I can't for the life of me get VM detection (open-vm-tools?) to work properly.

When I deploy Antergos in a VMware environment, most of the guest functions work as expected, but I have never once gotten cursor capture and copy/paste to work.

What Antergos does: Cursor is locked to VM unless I release
What every other distro (including Manjaro) does: Cursor transitions seamlessly to and from VM and host/vcenter

Are the proper drivers and kernel modules not present by default?

No wifi in live version when having broadcom card

Since there is no wifi options in live version, there is no way to fix it easily or install antergos when having (a fairly common) broadcome wifi card. In my case this card is installed on lenovo G 780 laptop.

This issue was present many months ago in old release and exists still till now.
Apparently antergos iso is missing some packages to run that card.

Unable to install because of missing driver modules

I am unable to install because the driver modules I need for my wifi card are missing. It is a Broadcom chip that uses the b43 (old proprietary module) and or the brcmsmac module (newer and open source). It is also missing the r8101 module for my ethernet port.
