The problem with custom schemas is that they fail without any usable fallback when AntennaPod is not installed. This is very bad for user interaction. That's why you can create AntennaPod specific links that open a website. If the browser supports it, AntennaPod opens directly. If it doesn't, there is a button to open AntennaPod. No (currently). This only allows to open podcasts.
