5.6.x are distributed as patches, so it cannot be used with jws_version: 5.6.1; for installing the patch, the current way is to adding to the playbook:

- import_role: jws
  tasks_from: apply_cp.yml

After having set the variable: rhn_cp_url with the full url for the customer portal download.

I would suggest on top of this, to add a jws_apply_patches (like we did for keycloak), default false, which when true automatically deploys the most recent cumulative patch as defined in the latest_cp variable. In this case the rhn_cp_url would be not necessary to be defined; and the credentials would be reused from rhn_username and rhn_password

That is something we should callout specifically in the documentation then. If we do that, then I think we can close this issue out. I do think we should add jws_apply_patches too since that would be easier to configure for users.
