Backend issue about hsfd-system HOT 4 OPEN

The problem is you are trying to use findByIdAndUpdate(id, update, options) without specifying the update object.
Also, the useFindAndModify option is not used by Mongoose 6

It should be

await Food.findByIdAndUpdate(req.params.id, {requests: food.requests}, {new:true, runValidators:true})

I would recommend not modifying the object returned from Mongoose directly, but make a copy & modify the copy.
