No way to disable for migration as a whole about strong_migrations HOT 4 CLOSED

Similar use case here. I want to add this to my orgs existing application but since the migrations are already live on production, I only want to look at files after X date or have a way to ignore individual files.

There's no need to mark past migrations as safe. Rails recommends you use rake db:schema:load when creating a database from scratch (for instance, for new developers). Also, you can use:

SAFETY_ASSURED=1 rake db:migrate

if needed for the initial migration (if you really don't want to use db:schema:load)
