Nice catch, need to make it compatible with Highcharts 2.

Not sure if this is the same issue or not, but instead of a chart, I just get: Error Loading Chart: 'undefined' is not a function (evaluating '$(element).highcharts(options)')

I have Highcharts 2.2.5

I'm seeing this issue as well. "Error Loading Chart: undefined is not a function". I have tried Highcharts 2.* and Highcharts 3.2. Am I doing something wrong?

I found out why that was happening, it was because my javascripts (including jQuery) are included in the footer, while 'highcharts' and 'chartskick' was included in the body tag. Any way to keep javascripts in the footer for performance reasons?

Could we run new Chartkick.LineChart("chart-1", "...", {}); on DOM load?

Unfortunately, it's not easy to do in a cross-browser compatible way without depending on jQuery. See #12
