I can take a look into it. The easiest would probably be to use the canvas element and just draw the dependencies as a graphic.

We could use jsPlumb. There's a vanilla version (no jquery), and seems really light and easy to use.

Hi spinningarrow. It's not implemented, but we are open to PR for this feature. It could be a plugin, and jsPlumb seems really good to do this.
