This is more limited to what options your android has installed, one of my phones is a Samsung and they include their own TTS engine and the only option is female (though can change pitch). Perhaps you can switch to Google's? You could install eSpeak but it doesn't sound good and during speaking causes a pretty serious crash on my Lenovo (stops at a system message before beginning android… maybe it's just with Andbible?)

Book play. Try pressing the stop button first. The TTS area has the verse that it is loaded with showing above the << button and does not change when you change the view to another book.

1 Repetitions: I listened this week to the book of Job (Greek OT). It is not only repeating verses, but jumps back and forth between chapters. I suspect that there is a general conflict between the different verse numbering in the Greek and Hebrew OT.

2 Book change: The stop button indeed solved it. But it would be beneficial if the speaker would follow to the new book, no matter if the user has paused or stopped the reading.

5 Speaker: I was not aware that this depends on the cellphone setting. Thank you. I recommend to add a brief notice in the app settings e.g. ‘Change speaker in cellphone settings’
