@lukekarrys: Thanks for reporting this!

It'd be great to collect links to backbone-to-ampersand migration issues... would https://github.com/whobubble/ampersand-view-jquery-mixin be a good place, or is that too high-level?

Also, do or @whobubble know if https://github.com/whobubble/ampersand-view-jquery-mixin would fix/cover this issue?

@prust I was thinking something on http://ampersandjs.com/learn would be the best place to capture some of the migration issues.

And unfortunately, the jquery-mixin doesn't cover the issue as it just provides the $el derived property and this.$ method. Here's some very-non-perfect code I put together which works for me to use jQuery triggered events in the hash, with some comments explaining why I did some of the things: https://gist.github.com/lukekarrys/5f4ebe9cb3d90b21c5dd

@lukekarrys would you be willing to tackle writing up some of the migration issues? I think this is definitely something we want to document well.

Thanks @HenrikJoreteg & @lukekarrys, this is something that my team would really appreciate (and I'm sure others will also). We haven't started converting our Backbone apps to Ampersand yet, but when we do, we'll be looking to see if we can do it in an incremental way (so we don't sink a big part of a release cycle into an all-or-nothing conversion) and in a way that has the lowest risk of introducing bugs.

Yeah, definitely. I'll write something up in a PR for the docs and solicit feedback from there.

@lukekarrys, is this something we still want to pursue?
