I understand the desire to deprecate the "ACESlog" nomenclature, but technically ACEScc is the combined matrix plus non-linear encoding, right? It feels a tad misleading to label the linear-to-nonlinear conversion function, which is only one-half of the conversion from ACES to ACEScc, with ACEScc. Is there a more generic term than ACEScc that we can use in the lin_to_nonlinear conversion functions?

Yes ACEScc is the name for the combo matrix and logarithmic encoding, but this is now true for ACESproxy as well. I ran into the a similar naming issue defining the formula in the spec documents, I used "ACESccLin" for the intermediate naming of both the encoding and decoding function to avoid using the "AP1" primary designation but inside the CTL this is fine to use, i.e. you could call the functions "AP1Lin_to_ACEScc" and "ACEScc_to_AP1Lin"
