Hey steppenwolfe,
What version of PHP are you using?

Also, the HEREDOC syntax should begin on line 64, not line 65, so make sure you haven't accidentally added something else to that file. I suggest replacing it with a fresh downloaded copy of it.

Hi amereservant,

I reuploaded the file but the error remains. Mediawiki version is 1.17.0. PHP Version is 5.2.9

Thanks.

Finally got the error. Class variable initialization using heredoc only works in 5.3.0 onwards. I have a shared hosting account (no VPS) which provides 5.2.9.

Sorry for the trouble.
