Hi Aaron,
Configurations should be able to import even though the group does not exist, but I do agree with you that it can be nice to skip exporting assignments all together sometimes.
I will look into adding a switch to skip exporting assignments when backing up configurations!

Thanks. The use case here is importing into unrelated tenants, particularly for consultants getting an Intune up and running from a baseline set of configs, in what might be an existing tenant with live endpoints.
