cougar's Issues

Consider moving history out of the files?

Isn't the whole point of git that it retains the changes that have been made with reasoning? I certainly think git will do a better job with the history than an annotation anyway.

`require_once` littered through the codebase.

I've notice that there are calls to require_once("cougar.php"); littered through the codebase. There are two reasons I'd suggest eliminating them:

  1. The file cougar.php does not exist in any of those directories; this means you are relying on the include_path to include the project root. This makes it harder to adopt and relies on external configuration.
  2. This project has autoloaders available, which makes these require_once calls pointless since the autoloader needs to be called before the file is included anyway. If you need those require_once calls then setup isn't being done correctly and this is a bandage, not a cure.
