I have no issue with my shelly2?
from homebridge-shelly.
same problem here No devices discovered
homebridge-shelly v0.16.0
from homebridge-shelly.
I’m not sure what would cause that. Could you try going back to version 0.7.0 of homebridge-shelly and see if any devices show up?
from homebridge-shelly.
I have the same. No new devices get discoverd. (2.5)
from homebridge-shelly.
Then I must’ve broken something in the new update. I’ll have a look at it tonight.
from homebridge-shelly.
I just installed my shelly 2.5 and installed your plugin and having now the same problem. Great timing :-)
Thank you, hope you find something in the code.
from homebridge-shelly.
I'm not able to reproduce this. No matter what I try my devices are always discovered, both on my Raspberry Pi and my Mac. What version of node are you running? Have you updated homebridge to the latest version? What do you have in your homebridge config?
from homebridge-shelly.
OK, i went back to 0.7.0 with
npm install [email protected]
but I must admit that my error still exists, "0 devices loaded from cache".
I will have a closer look at this first...
from homebridge-shelly.
Does it Discovery new devices ? Have you try’d a clean setup(empty .homebridge folder)
I have updated homebridge, node to newest stable version.
from homebridge-shelly.
Hello,
I have the same problem. With the version 0.8.1 no devices are found (clean install). With the version 0.7.0 the devices are found.
from homebridge-shelly.
Updating from 0.7.0 to 0.8.1 will show existing devices, but no new devices are found (example shelly 1PM).
from homebridge-shelly.
Clean install, node 11.14.0, homebridge 0.4.49, homebridge-shelly 0.8.1 is working just fine for me. New devices are discovered as they should. If your devices are discovered when running $ shellies listen
but not when running homebridge then I don't know what is causing the problem. What Shelly devices do you have?
from homebridge-shelly.
im running
node 10.15.3
homebridge 0.4.49
shellies 0.10.0
[email protected]
as a user not root.. but i don't get any errors.. still nothing..
so you are running the developer version of node.. why is that?
from homebridge-shelly.
Im running
node 10.15.3
homebridge 0.4.49
[email protected]
I have the following shellies:
Shelly 1
Shelly 2
Shelly 1PM
The Shelly 1PM is new and I tried to involve it yesterday.
I've been using shellies 1 & 2 for a while now.
The Shellies 1 & 2 were found with the version 0.7.0 without problems, but in the Version 0.8.1 (Clean Install) the Shellies are not found.
When I update from 0.7.0 to 0.8.1 shellies 1 & 2 in version 0.8.1 are attached.
If I install the version 0.8.1 directly (Clean Install) no devices are found.
The Shelly 1PM is not found in the version 0.7.0 & 0.8.1.
Sorry, for my bad English !
from homebridge-shelly.
Hey,
$ shellies listen finds my shelly2.5 without problems.
Clean .homebridge/, attached my config.json.
Output is:

Hey, this is also my problem, that no devices are found. I am on
Node 11.6.0
Homebridge 0.4.49
homebridge-shelly 0.8.1
Tried everything, but my only Shelly 1 device is not found, I receive the "0 devices loaded from cache" message as well ...
from homebridge-shelly.
I think I've found the problem! Try updating to version 0.8.2 and see if that helps.
from homebridge-shelly.
My Shelly 1 PM has now been found.
Thank you very much !
What I also noticed is that the consumption data (W) of the Shelly 1PM are not passed to Homekit.
Only 0W is displayed.
Is there a way to fix that?
from homebridge-shelly.
there they where ;-).. very good job alexryd and my sense works also with motion and all ;-)
from homebridge-shelly.
It works perfectly now!
Alex, thank you so so much for your help and your incredible work on this project.
Have a great evening
Harald
from homebridge-shelly.
Awesome!
So for testing purposes I had some lines of code that excluded all devices that didn't have a certain ID. I obviously didn't push these lines to GitHub but I accidentally published them to npm. And since I don't download this plugin from npm I had to scratch my head long and hard before I spotted that!
@EduardSarjadjuk Could you run the following and then post the result here?
$ npm install -g shellies
$ shellies description <ip-address>
$ shellies status <ip-address>
Where <ip-address>
is the IP of your Shelly PM.
from homebridge-shelly.
Thanks for your help !!!
Here is the result:

I see. Looks like it doesn't report its power consumption over CoAP, that's disappointing... Must be a bug in the Shelly firmware since other devices like the Shelly 2.5 do. I'll email the developers about it.
from homebridge-shelly.
Thank you !
from homebridge-shelly.
It Will come.. they know
from homebridge-shelly.
Ok great!
from homebridge-shelly.
Thank you very much, indeed not an easy "bug" to find...
Now I got:
[27.4.2019, 21:22:08] [Shelly] New device discovered: SHSW-25 73BFC1 at 192.168.10.150
Works perfect now out of the box. I really like your way of thinking to keep it simple.
Keep going!
from homebridge-shelly.
Since the first problems solved the 2.5er works Fine... but the Shelly 2 are not reachable. Or reports a false state.
from homebridge-shelly.
Dear @alexryd My Shellies are not listening any more. Could please help me. Thank you
