Hmm I don't have access to a Mac anymore, but I will try to read through the Homebrew formula and my install script to see if I can see any issues. I was pretty sure this had worked at some point and I don't think any of those pieces have changed since then so I'm not sure why this would have just started to happen.

So someone else has made a commit to the homebrew formula the removes the ability to install individual tools through homebrew. Not sure exactly why, but this may have been a choice made by that team. Homebrew/homebrew-core@60e4067
