Thank you for your well-worded and detailed question. I really appreciate the effort that went into this. Unfortunately, this kind of relationship is not what blocksim was designed for, since in "normal" block diagrams every block has only one input.
While in principle it is not that hard to extend the Diagram
class and add an extra calculation to the .step()
method to allow this, I really don't recommend it as for systems like this it is very likely that the simple integration scheme used in this library will not do a good job. I strongly recommend looking into something like OpenModelica for simulating this system. It allows you to specify these equations directly and will also handle the integration in a more rigorous way.
