broadcastreceiver-fragments-demonstration

The project aims at demonstarting the usage of the concepts of Broadcast Receiver and Fragments in Android. The project compries of three Applications A1, A2 and A3 which are to be installed on the same device which communicate with each other using broadcast receivers.

The aim of the project is to implement a cloud simulator that uses the Chord protocol. We use Akka, a toolkit for building highly concurrent, distributed, and resilient message-driven applications to implement Chord. The projects simulates assignment of task from multiple Front Ends (users) and the Worker Nodes using Chord. The implemntation is reselient to network failures, provides necessary logging to see work routing/assignment and messages passed between the nodes.

cloud-model-simulations

The project simulates the working of datacenters and its components. The project has been developed on top of Cloudsim Plus framework and has been developed in java. We implement different scheduling and allocation policies of VMs and Hosts and Processes and observe the difference in execution time of jobs by changing various configuration parameters. Additionally, we discuss map reduce implementation design on top of the framework.
