WASTEnotWANTnot is a recipe and food sharing app, which achieved first place in the Code First: Girls remote Hackathon in April 2020. This hackathon focused on building something to help people during COVID-19 lockdown. Our app aims to enable users avoid the supermarkets, allow local communities to help each other out in times of need and reduce food waste in the process.

Tasked with building a React application using a third party API, we decided to build a topical website ahead of the general election: “Make it Count”. This allowed users to enter a UK postcode to find their constituency, learn about their candidates and previous general election results. We used three external API’s to retrieve data for our site.

"Swell" is a MERN stack app which we built as a team of 4 in 7 days. A surf and travel app, it allows allowing users to search for surfing destinations around the world, leave comments and share new surf spots. We created our own RESTful API and incorporated two third party APIs.

Tetris - the 1980's arcade game built in vanilla JavaScript using DOM manipulation. This was a solo project and my first on the General Assembly course, built in a week.

"Green Garms" is a full-stack sustainable fashion app. It combines a clothes swap platform and a brand guide to help users be more sustainable with the fashion choices. A one-week paired project, we built two APIs using Python & Django for the back-end and React for the front-end.

A side-project I undertook to practice my React skills. "Life On Mars" is a one-page app providing the most recent weather conditions on Mars. The data is sourced from NASA's Mars API.
