try updating it from play store.. the update is already pushed there.
more info:
this is because of signature mismatch, if you previously downloaded from a one source, ex: playStore, then next time you should use the same source to update it. To bypass this error you can uninstall old version and install the new version.

that explains it. I did update it from the playstore but to bypass the ads I can just relaunch spotify for the ads to stop but they come back again and I don't know why
