That is strange, I've just tried with a clean-ish sandbox that I keep handy and it worked fine. I can't do a full fresh install because I'm on a train with intermittent internet.
Best way to debug is to open up your text editor and poke around in node_modules/ember-cli-sass/index.js.

@andyjessop this appears to be working just fine. Are you using Windows? Any other ideas why this wouldn't be working for you? Not much I can do if I can't reproduce it.

Strange, this is happening intermittently for me (on OSX and Linux), not sure what I can do to help debug this.
EDIT: By intermittent I meant I fixed it on my OSX machine and didn't realize it, and by fix I mean I had the default stylesheet named incorrectly because I switched from compass-compiler.

Unfortunately I've just joined an early stage startup as a tech co-founder, so I simply do not have a second to look into this, sorry. Luckily the source code's available so I'm happy to review and publish any PRs from the community. I'm also open to adding other collaborators on this project as well if anyone is interested.
