Hi there 👋
I am a self-taught software engineer. How did I get here?
I was in my Masters (Economics) and we always had to analyze data to complete our assignments. I came across python as a handy tool to do it because we all can agree, you give excel a large amount of data and it stops responding (the same way our dads don't respond when we ask for money) 😁 😉 🥲
So long story short, while learning about Python for data analysis, took a detour of in general, How computers work? 🤔 How programming works? 🤔 What's the logic behind the syntax that we are writing? 🧐 yada yada. Took CS50x, read 'CODE' by Charles Petzold and lots and lots of documentation and YT videos.
Fast forward 2 years later to 2022,
- Web development ✅
- Data Analysis and visualization ✅
- Machine learning (ongoing)
- Linux, AWS and Docker ✅
But now I've decided to go pro 💪. Therefore completing the CS courses from here - https://teachyourselfcs.com/
I am a generalist to the core. I like learning so I become whatever I need to be. I would never want to stick to a particular thing say web development or data engineering or machine learning. I like'em all coz at the end of the day, these are just computing problems that need to be solved in the most economical and efficient manner 🙂.
