Just wanted to say that something similar is affecting me too, and only with jQuery 1.6+. I get an infinite loop that crashes the tab. It's forcing me to stay on jQuery 1.5.2 :(
Hope to see this fixed soon--thanks for your hard work and the amazing plugin!
