Crash when updating snippets about accodesnippetrepositoryplugin HOT 11 CLOSED

Hi Colin,

"Cannot add another user snippet with the same identifier, you can only override system snippets."
This error happens when you have 2 snippets with the same UUID identifier.

Do you have 2 snippets with the UUID in your git repository?

I had a look at your snippet repository, https://github.com/colinhumber/Xcode-Snippets
I managed to reproduce the crash but only once. No success since then.

Can you give me details (what snippets did you have before the fork, are you using Alcatraz...)?
Can you try to uninstall the plugin and reinstall it again?

I didn't have any snippets before the first install but when i installed the plugin on my second computer it duplicated all my snippets. I thought I cleaned it but I may have missed some.

I've been using Alcatraz. I'll give reinstalling it a shot.

I encountered the crash just now, the same crash log of colin

Ok I think I have something. I want to make sure it's the root cause and not just a symptom.

@colinhumber can you elaborate on the "second computer" use case? Specifically, can you tell how you got your snippets dupplicated?

Ok guys, I have a fix in the fix-duplicated_identifier_crash branch.

Can you try it and tell me if it fixes your issue?

Unfortunately, you can't use Alcatraz and have to install manually instead. See the README in https://github.com/acoomans/ACCodeSnippetRepositoryPlugin.

Re-installed from that branch and haven't had any crashes since!

Regarding the duplicate snippets, I'm honestly not entirely sure what happened other than after installing and configuring the plugin on my second computer it looked like there were a bunch of duplicate snippets across both computers. Probably not too helpful, I know. I'll keep an eye out for any other issues in the meantime.
