python 3 support about shodan-python HOT 8 CLOSED

If more people are interested in Python 3 support I can look into how much work it would require, but for now it's not a priority (all my systems use Python2).

You can use the 2to3 conversion tool which can automate it as much as possible for you, but you will need to change some stuff manually which will help with the process

i try a simple shodan client ( as one example in shodan api).
but i have this error " unable to parse JSON response".
the code is the same that his it's given in example on your site. i have a shodan key.
can you help me please. (ver python 2.7.3)

Python 2 ends by 2020. I think it is good time to start Python 3 support :-)

Shodan supports Python3 :) If you're unable to use it please file a bug report but I've been using it w/ Python3 for a while now.

How come you are using with python3. I am unable to import the shodan module to python3. Did i miss some thing?
