I was also after something like this that was able to render React components rather than a dangerouslySetInnerHtml approach. I managed to do it by transforming the tokens remarkable parses into a tree structure and then recursively map over that structure and match to React components.
I created a library for it https://github.com/HHogg/remarkable-react. It's a slightly different use case to this library so I think it's ok to link to it from here 😬 ... happy to remove the link though if it's bad to link to your own projects from a similar one.
