hmm... what is the compute capability of your device? It should only be generating the atomicCAS for devices that support it at that width, and just doing a standard write otherwise.
You might also try using Int32 rather than Int (which is 64-bits in your version of GHC), since support of 64-bit types in CUDA is not great anyway.

I have computeCapability = 2.1 (GeForce GT 540M).

appears it was just being picky, and wanted unsigned long long
and not just the shorthand uint64_t
