👋
Hello there! I'm a self-taught programmer and game developer looking for an entry-level job in software development.
If your company works with trains or other transportation logistics, I'm your guy.
🖥️ I taught myself to code during Covid...
- Developer and contributor for OpenTTD. OpenTTD is written in C++ and maintained on GitHub.
- Mod developer for OpenTTD, mostly creating new production chains and cargo economies, and a town behavior overhaul, although I've also created real-world vehicle assets using voxel modeling and 2D sprite stacking in code. I use NewGRF Meta Language to create mods.
- Currently working on a real-world railroad dispatching system for my current employer (see below) using Blazor WASM.
🎲 ...but game design is so much more than programming.
- Moderator of the official OpenTTD Discord, creator of the Steam store page assets (video, screenshots, and description text), developer livestream participant, and more
- Dungeons & Dragons player and homebrew DM
- Childhood filled with Eurogames
- Analog games on itch.io
🚂 Being a train expert is literally my job.
- 4 years (and counting) as a railroad conductor and dispatcher on a scenic railroad
- 9 years as a museum educator in science and transportation history museums
- 20+ magazine articles published, mostly about railroad technology
