If any involved GridNo have been changed by past changes to this feature, there may is a chance that the GridNo inside the .npc-file of Joe (npc-script) failed to get updated. I would have to look into .npc-file and compare to confirm this assumption. If that's the case, this can cause the next record in npc-script failing from triggering.
If it's not the cause, the npc-script still could be used to make him walk away to cross sector borders or teleport at a spot out of sight. I assume the content in npc-script could be triggered via code as well.
