@dainemawer can you elaborate more on each item to remove and explain where preciesly the features are "security risk, legacy, or redundant"? Doing so would give us a better understanding and assist in moving this task forward.

I could see how removing WP Emoji stuff might be beneficial (merely a part of this open Issue). Most clients don't seem to have a need for emojis in my experience.
@dainemawer do you mind if I rename this and get a PR in specifically for WP Emoji at least? Or, should I open a separate Issue?
