is there update on this? I am getting the same bug, featured image is pulled but not assigned to post

I have tried various methods but haven't been able to replicate this issue at this time.

I'm having the same issue- featured images are not being set on the distributed posts. I can manually set _thumbnail_id in the post_meta table and the featured image will appear, but as soon as the original post is updated _thumbnail_id gets wiped out again.
The theme I'm using is Divi and I've also tested using twentytwentyfour on the receiving site.
Disabling ALL plugins on BOTH sites except for Distributor (version 2.0.4) does not change this behavior.
